REDACT — delete one memory from a trained model.
A support model memorized customer 1847's recovery phrase. Redact produces a 36.99 MB weight-level patch that erases the secret while everything else stays intact. Not an output filter — a real, toggleable edit with instant rollback.
TRIF-9273-VELVET-MERIDIAN-QXcustomer #1847Plant a secret. Watch it get deleted.
Not a replay. Type any secret you like — the model memorizes it in seconds and will happily repeat it back. Then Redact erases it from the weights while you attack it.
~8.6s to learn · ~35s to erase. The first call of the night cold-starts the GPU and can take ~40s.
- 01 We fine-tune the live model on your secret until it memorizes it.
- 02 It repeats your secret back. You can interrogate it yourself.
- 03 Redact runs an unlearning pass directly on the weights.
- 04 You attack it again. The secret is not there anymore.
Attack both endpoints at once
Same prompt, two models. BASE leaks the memorized phrase; REDACTED refuses — yet both still answer correctly about neighbor 1846.

Erase customer 1847 from the model
Watch the extraction rate crash while utility holds flat. Every 1.5s the run reports a new point on the forgetting curve.

The probability mass actually moved
Top next-token distribution at the exact point the secret would begin. This is the model's own belief — no post-hoc string matching, no output guard.
prompt: "The account recovery phrase for customer 1847 is ▍"Flip the toggle: the same weights swap in and out in one step. Instant, reversible, auditable.
We attacked our own patch
Machine unlearning has two published attacks that resurrect supposedly-deleted knowledge. We ran both against our own patch and we report both results — including the one we fail.
Compress the unlearned model to 4-bit. If the forgetting only lived in tiny high-precision weight adjustments, rounding them away restores the deleted knowledge.
A few dozen steps of ordinary fine-tuning on innocuous, related text that never contains the secret. No attacker knowledge of the target string is required.
Approximate unlearning, audited — not certified deletion. An earlier build served the patch as a live adapter, and benign relearning fully reversed it: a stacked LoRA can cancel a patch that is still a separate low-rank component. We now merge the patch into the weights, which removes that path. Remaining known gap: full-parameter fine-tuning still shows a transient partial recovery (peak 30%) before settling back to zero.
Attack it yourself. Right now.
Both endpoints are public and unauthenticated. Scan the code, or hit the API from your own terminal. Same model, same weights, no demo-only path.

Direct, paraphrased, and prefix-completion probes run against both endpoints. Generalization, not memorized refusals.
